Olympic champion turned reality star Bruce Jenner has been hit with a wrongful death lawsuit stemming from the car crash he was involved in back in February. Jenner was involved in a multi-car accident on the Pacific Coast Highway that resulted in his SUV colliding with Kim Howe’s vehicle. The force of the accident pushed her vehicle into the oncoming traffic lane where it was struck head-on by another vehicle. Ms. Howe was killed as a result of the accident.
At the scene Jenner took and passed a field sobriety test. Authorities have not yet determined who is at fault for the crash, but recently they have opened a vehicular manslaughter investigation. A spokesperson for the police department has said the investigation will focus on everyone involved in the accident and not any one particular person.
While Jenner was not injured in the accident, five children and two other adults were also hospitalized with various injuries.
The Pacific Coast Highway is known to be very dangerous and is home to many car accidents every year.
Ms. Howe’s adult stepchildren have filed a civil lawsuit against Jenner accusing him of the wrongful death of Ms. Howe. They are asking for unspecified damages.
While Jenner has recently done interviews about his gender transition and his return to reality television he has yet to comment on the lawsuit.
